We had many great questions asked during our LinkedIn Power Formula for Sales & Marketing Success seminar at the Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church, VA in May. The event focused on how to get your business and personal brand found in Google searches using LinkedIn and how to unlock the full power of LinkedIn’s groups, marketing tools, and advanced search tool to find potential customers from LinkedIn’s over 300 million users.

We had a great turn out at the event! Attendees were engaged in questions and feedback. They also had the chance to review and edit their LinkedIn profiles during the presentation by Peg McDermott.

So, we decided to do a series of blogs highlighting some questions and answers that were brought up during the training session so other readers could learn as well.

One question that was asked was: if everyone has a , who has time to read them?

Answer: writing a blog is more about creating new, fresh, creative and unique content for your business and SEO than it is about getting thousands of people to read it. The keywords you use in your blog are crawled by Google and impact your search engine optimization and how visible your website will show up in the ranks in a Google search. Another question was: what is the difference between a blog and publishing an article on LinkedIn?
.
Answer: LinkedIn has a new publishing platform where you can upload any content, paper, article, or blog you write. A LinkedIn article and a blog are very similar actually; you can use the same words and images in your content. Like blogs, LinkedIn article posts should also be kept short and sweet. The content might be different depending on your audience/connections on LinkedIn vs. the audience for your blog.
