5 Social Media Tools You Should be Using

Here are five social media tools you aren’t using but should consider implementing in the near future:

1. Mention. If Google Alerts is not your thing, give Mention a second look. The company’s tagline says it all:

“Start listening to what’s being said on the web and social web. React quickly, collaborate, and analyze your online presence.”

2. Compfight. Do you need help searching Flickr for commercial use photos? Rather than spend hours on end scouring the internet, hoping to find an image you can use, let this tool do all of the heavy lifting for you. Remember, the use of images can do wonders for your social media strategy.

3. Tagboard. In addition to its cool name, this tool makes it easy for you to monitor keywords spanning a variety of social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

4. ManageFlitter. Are you spending too much time on Twitter? This social media tool allows you to cut through the clutter and focus your time on the tasks that matter the most. From unfollowing spam accounts to finding relevant people to scheduling posts, this tool will improve the way you use Twitter.

5. SocialOomph. Creating content is only half the battle. The other half is the distribution process. Check out the SocialOomph website and you will soon find that distributing content does not have to be a time consuming process. Instead, you can stay on track and save time with the use of this service.

On the surface, it is easy to believe that using social media platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook, is enough to achieve marketing success. But as you dig deeper, looking into the many tools that are out there, you will find that you have been coming up short.

You may not be able to implement all five of the social media tools above into your daily marketing strategy, but even if you only use one it will go a long way in improving your approach.

If nothing else, take the time to learn more about these five tools and how they can work for your business. You may find that one or more of these can give your social media strategy a big boost.
